DSC
Signed, sealed, sourced.
The terms for a digital signature certificate order through Web Fortuners.
What a DSC order includes
Certificate, token and guidance.
A DSC order is for a Class 3 signing, Class 3 signing plus encryption (combo), or DGFT certificate issued by the issuing certification authority. The order includes the certificate itself, a USB e-token if you do not already own a compatible one, and our desk support for application, verification and download guidance.
The certificate is issued only after identity verification is complete. It is not a document we print; it is a digital credential issued by the certificate authority and stored on the token we provide or you supply.
Identity verification
Verify who you are. We guide the rest.
You must provide true, complete identity and address documents. The exact set depends on whether the certificate is for an individual, an organization, or DGFT use. Paperless eKYC is available when Aadhaar is linked to PAN and mobile.
The documents checklist for each use is on the DSC page. We review what you submit and come back to you if anything is missing or unclear.
Refusal right
We may refuse an application.
We may refuse any DSC application without stating a reason. This is rare, but it is reserved so we can reject incomplete, suspicious or non-compliant applications without entering a back-and-forth.
USB token
Keep the token safe.
A new certificate under CCA rules must be downloaded onto a FIPS 140-2 Level 2 compatible USB e-token. You may use your own compatible token or buy one through us. The token is your responsibility once it is in your hands.
If a token is lost, damaged or its PIN is locked beyond recovery, the certificate may need to be revoked and reissued. Reissue follows the same verification cycle and is charged as a new order.
Revocation and misuse
Report lost or misused certificates.
If your certificate is lost, stolen, compromised, or the details on it are no longer accurate, tell us immediately. We will request revocation from the issuing certification authority. Until revocation is confirmed, transactions made with the certificate remain your responsibility.
Report misuse or request revocation by emailing care@webfortuners.com with the certificate details and what happened.
Refunds
Before issuance: full refund. After issuance: none.
If you ask to cancel before the certificate is issued, you receive a full refund. Once the certificate is issued, it is non-refundable. The certificate authority does not take back issued credentials, so we cannot return the fee.
Certification practice statement
You accept the issuing CA's CPS.
Certificates are issued under the issuing certification authority's certification practice statement. By applying, you accept that statement and the authority's terms for issuance, use, revocation and warranty limits. We will identify the issuing certification authority on request.
