Keeping a Miami lending office open for business

Lendio Miami is the South Florida office of a national small-business lending network, matching local businesses with loans. Its website is run by a US agency, the same long-standing partner whose engineering desk we have been for four years, and in June 2024 the site came to us broken in the particular way WordPress sites break when two well-meaning plugins disagree.

The symptoms were the kind that cost a lender applicants: pages rendering wrong, the top navigation silently losing its Blog and customer-referral entries, and the referral page itself showing no text at all. The cause, once isolated, was a collision between WP Rocket’s optimisations and the Astra theme. We took a full backup first, updated the theme, untangled the optimiser, and brought the navigation and the referral page back.

Small-business lending is a trust business, and a lending office whose site drops pages looks like a lending office that drops calls. The design and the brand belong to Lendio and its agency; what is claimed here is the engineering that keeps their door open: called when it breaks, fixed at the root, back to boring by the end of the day.
