The approach

Local sport has an audience. What it rarely has is a way to charge that audience without handing the relationship to somebody else’s platform. Performa TV is the answer to that. A club streams its own fixtures under its own brand, sets its own prices, and keeps both the money and the knowledge of who is watching.

White-label is easy to claim and harder to build. Here it is literal in two places you can check. Payments run through Stripe Connect, the piece that makes each broadcaster its own payee rather than a line on somebody else’s payout. And a channel can sit on the club’s own domain, so a supporter buying a match never leaves the club’s world to do it.

Around that sits the machinery a volunteer media officer needs and has no time to assemble: channel branding down to logo and colours, team and competition data, a broadcast schedule, separate pricing for live and on-demand, season subscriptions and bundle passes, advertising slots tiered at both channel and single-game level, an on-screen scoreboard and clock, and analytics that break viewing and sales down by game and by where the viewers are. That last one is the quiet argument. A club that can show an advertiser where its away support watches from has something to sell.

The site itself has two jobs that pull in opposite directions. It has to explain the platform to a club committee in plain terms, and it has to make the product look like broadcast rather than a webcam pointed at a pitch. So the marketing site, the broadcaster application and the help centre are built as separate surfaces, each for the person actually on it, with a second tier of production services alongside for clubs that want filming, graphics or live stats done for them. Glentoran and Portadown are among the clubs quoted on the site about the result.

Performa TV and Performa Sports come from the same company. This is the supporter-facing half of it. The coaching platform is the other.
