The approach
S D Rawal has been laying roads, raising buildings and running civil works across Rajasthan since 2004. The AA-Class in the name is not decoration: it is the government’s own grade for contractors, the thing that decides which tenders you are even allowed to bid for. So the rating opens the hero and does the qualifying before a line of copy has to.
Everything below it is arranged the way a tender is assessed rather than the way a brochure usually runs. The work splits into the categories a government department actually procures: major road projects, building construction, land development, sewerage works, general civil works and project management. Projects are named rather than described. A four-lane bitumen road for the Public Works Department, campus development for IIM Udaipur, urban infrastructure for the Udaipur Development Authority, an industrial park in a RIICO area, each carried with its client, its location, its duration and the year it completed. In public works the reader already knows what those jobs involve. What they want to know is whether you have done one.
The fleet gets its own page, broken out by equipment category with unit counts. That sounds dull, and it is the second qualifying question in this trade: owning your earthmoving and road plant is the difference between a contractor and a broker, and it is what a procurement officer checks after the rating. The client list gets a page too, grouped by the kind of buyer rather than flattened into a logo strip, because a state department and a private developer are reading it for different reasons.
The rest is built for how this trade wins work beyond the tender notice: project photography instead of promises, a quote request short enough that somebody finishes it, and the phone number in the header of every page.
